The Health Care Engineering System Center of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign—in collaboration with healthcare providers, industry representatives, and academic researchers—is sponsoring this special one-day summit called Convergence 2018 on Monday, April 23, at the I-Hotel in Champaign to initialize collaborations and to shape the future of Medical Informatics and Health Data Analytics in and for the Midwest. Keynote speakers included Justin Starren, Chief of Preventive Medicine Health and Biomedical Informatics in the Department of Preventive Medicine at Northwestern University, and Rich Caruana, Principal Researcher at Microsoft Research.
