University of Illinois hosts Health Data Analytics Summit

Revolutions in big data analysis are shaping healthcare delivery worldwide-AI driven technologies analyze, classify, and utilize patient data in novel ways.
 
Illinois and the Midwest at large are shaping up to be major hubs for development in data analytics for healthcare and this summit includes many of the thought leaders shaping research, health care delivery, and leading industries.
 
The Health Data Analytics Summit focuses on the convergence of AI, big data, and technology. Simply spoken we accommodate public interest and discuss where, and how we could make use of AI, and where research needs to happen.  
 
The Health Care Engineering System Center  of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign—in collaboration with healthcare providers, industry representatives, and academic researchers—is sponsoring this special one-day summit called Convergence 2018 on Monday, April 23, at the I-Hotel in Champaign to initialize collaborations and to shape the future of Medical Informatics and Health Data Analytics in and for the Midwest.  This program is made possible by support from The Grainger Foundation.
 
Keynote speakers included Justin Starren, Chief of Preventive Medicine Health and Biomedical Informatics in the Department of Preventive Medicine at Northwestern University, and Rich Caruana, Principal Researcher at Microsoft Research.
