FGI Webinar: Lithium Solar Evaporation Pond Geomembrane Durability

FGI Webinar: Lithium Solar Evaporation Pond Geomembrane Durability

In this webinar, Dr. Stark will describe the use of solar evaporation ponds for lithium and other minerals in Chile. In particular, he will focus on geomembrane durability in the harsh desert environment after five years of exposure. Durability was assessed by sampling and testing 45 different factory fabricated panels, including seams, that had been exposed in the desert.

Application of Hydrothermal Technologies for Destruction of Fluorochemical Contaminants and Resource Recovery from Organic Wastes

Application of Hydrothermal Technologies for Destruction of Fluorochemical Contaminants and Resource Recovery from Organic Wastes

Recent work at the Colorado School of Mines have shown that highly persistent fluorochemical contaminants, including per- and polyfluoroalkyl substance (PFAS) “forever chemicals”, can be mineralized using a hydrothermal alkaline treatment (HALT) process.
