Kiyavash will spend two months at AFIT Wright Patterson working with mathematics professor Mark Oxley on the project, “Causal Complex Networks and Information Fusion.”
Prior to joining the the IESE department in January 2009, Kiyavash served on the research faculty in the Department of Computer Science and as a research scientist at Information Trust Institute at Illinois. Her research interests are in information theory and statistical signal processing with applications to computer, communication and multimedia security .
She received a B.S. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the Sharif University of Technology, Tehran, MS and PhD degrees, also in electrical and computer engineering, both from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
