This week, meet Haitham Al-Hassanieh, an electrical and computer engineering professor at the University of Illinois who is among the 126 recipients of the 2019 Sloan Research Fellowships, along with and chemical and biomolecular engineering Professor Diwakar Shukla. Al-Hassanieh works on designing systems and algorithms for wireless networking and mobile sensing — part of the "internet of things."
