Space.com (Oct. 4) -- A new model suggests that merging supermassive black holes will glow in eerie ultraviolet and X-ray light as they spiral into an inevitable crash. The simulation was performed at the U. of I.’s National Center for Supercomputing Applications Blue Waters supercomputer.
