Space.com (Feb. 8) -- A new software program that uses artificial intelligence can help rapidly detect and analyze gravitational waves – ripples in the cosmic fabric of space-time – from catastrophic events such as collisions between black holes, according to a new study by theoretical astrophysicist Eliu Huerta and computational astrophysicist Daniel George at the National Center for Supercomputing Applications at Illinois.
