Phys.Org (April 16) -- Asian carp are migrating towards the Great Lakes and are threatening to invade this ecosystem, creating is an immediate need to control their population. The FluEgg model, developed by University of Illinois researchers in collaboration with the U.S. Geological Survey examines a range of multiple flow and water temperature scenarios to help determine the best methods to control the invasive species.
