LaValle returns to campus

Chicago Tribune (Sept. 18) -- CS professor Steve LaValle has returned to the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign following a two-year stint as principal scientist at Oculus VR Inc. That’s the California-based startup behind the Oculus Rift virtual reality headset. LaValle led Oculus’ research and development until March when Facebook agreed to buy the company for $2 billion.
