Washingon Times (from The Associated Press, April 25) -- A Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering Rapid Response Grant is funding five researchers from the University of Illinois to research the recent mudslide in Washington state. School officials said that the team will be going to the town of Oso, but will have to wait until local officials open up restricted areas where rescue efforts are still underway.
