Parisa Tabriz is a business executive, product and engineering leader, cybersecurity expert and advocate for underserved people in tech. She is currently a vice president at Google responsible for engineering, product and design of Google Chrome, the world’s most popular web browser.
Tabriz is also affectionately known as Google’s “Security Princess” (her former job title), and has worked on information security at Google for more than a decade, starting as a “hired hacker” software engineer for Google’s security team, then managing Google’s product security, Chrome security and Project Zero security research teams.
Outside of Google, Tabriz serves on the board of Code.org. She consulted with the White House U.S. Digital Service to enhance security of government technology, lectured at the Harvard Kennedy School and is a member of the Forum on Cyber Resilience of the National Academy of Sciences. She created and facilitated training for kids interested in learning about security in a fun and easy way and has also consulted with multiple entertainment writers to help them understand the world of cybersecurity and technology so they can create and depict more accurate, diverse stories.
Tabriz has been featured in WIRED, Fortune, Forbes, Elle, The NYTimes, and numerous other online and print publications. She is also a character in the “Ara the Star Engineer” children’s book.
