Madison Fanning

Madison Fanning started at the University of Illinois in Engineering Undeclared. They are now a senior studying Bioengineering and Chemistry.

Within Grainger, Madison currently serves as the Recording Secretary for Tau Beta Pi, the
Engineering Honor Society. Previously, they were the Vice President for Social Projects and the
EOH Project Lead and have won Outstanding Initiate and Outstanding Member (twice).
Madison is the On-Campus Exec for Engineering Ambassadors, where they actively volunteer
in STEM outreach. Madison is a long-standing Program Assistant and Ambassador for Women
in Engineering (WIE). Previously, Madison taught ENG 101 as an Engineering Learning
Assistant (ELA) and worked two summers as a New Student Registration Assistant for Grainger
First-Year Experience (GFX). Under the mentorship of Dr. Caroline Cvetkovic, Madison
researches engineering education and is an ISUR scholar. They are a James Scholar and a Kirkwood Scholar.

Outside of Grainger, Madison is on the executive board for the Honors Student Council as part
of the Campus Honors Program. They enjoy being an Orientation Leader for New Student & Family Experiences. Previously, Madison worked as a Resident Advisor for University Housing.
