Course Description
A 3-credit ONLINE course revisiting key mathematical foundations — linear algebra, probability, convex optimization, differential equations, and basic machine learning — through the lens of generative AI and modern machine learning. Designed for professionals (for the M.Eng Online program), and potentially useful for some senior undergraduates and early graduate students, who have studied these topics outside UIUC but can benefit from deeper, AI-motivated intuitions to prepare for UIUC’s advanced AI courses.

MATH 225 (Linear Algebra) or equivalent; ECE 313 or MATH/STAT 361 (Probability with Engineering Applications); basic Python programming experience.
