Course Description
Systems biology is the study of systems of biological components that may be molecules, cells, organisms or entire species. The behaviors of such systems often requires holistic, quantitative measurements and modeling of the entire groups of interacting components. This course offers an introduction to the fundamental concepts and quantitative methodologies underlying systems biology through the examination of a series of examples. It outlines basic design principles ubiquitous in biological networks.
