Course Description

Fundamentals of kinetic theory, transport phenomena, chemical equilibria, and reaction kinetics; flames, their gross properties, structure, and gas dynamics including oscillatory and turbulent burning; solid and liquid propellant combustion; one-dimensional detonation theory including structure and initiation; three-dimensional and other complex detonation waves; and supersonic burning are covered in this course.

Prerequisites

BS degree in engineering or science from an accredited college in the United States or an approved institution of higher learning abroad and AE 311 or ME 410.
