ISE

Hi everyone! My name is Caitlyn Person and I'm currently a senior in Industrial Engineering. On campus, you can find me being an active member of Theta Tau Professional Engineering Fraternity. We are a co-ed group of engineering students dedicated to growing our members professionally, academically, and socially. I even served as Vice President last year! I also work part-time for Campus Recreation at our gyms as a Member Service Manager. If a part-time job is something on your mind, there are loads of opportunities for student work on campus that can fit into your schedule.

The main thing I love about Grainger Engineering is the network it provides you with during and after school. Illinois engineers exist all over the world and are all super proud of their alma mater. This is great for current students because it helps us form relationships and develop connections to get where we want in our careers.

As you begin your journey here, my words of advice would be to not get discouraged. Engineering can be really hard, but you won't be alone. Your peers, advisors, and professors are all there to help you along the way.
