Join current Mechanical Science & Engineering (MechSE) students from the Society for Engineering Mechanics and Women in MechSE for this daylong event at the Chicago Auto Show where you will get to know each other while enjoying the spectacular exhibits. This program is geared towards Engineering Mechanics admits and admitted women/underrepresented groups in Mechanical Engineering.

The MechSE Department will provide your ticket (1 tix for student) into the auto show if you RSVP by the deadline of 11:30 AM Tuesday, Feb 11th. NOTE: Additional guests must purchase their own ticket to the event.

This is an event for student admitted to the Division of Exploratory Studies but interesting in pursuing a degree in the Grainger College of Engineering. At this virtual event, students will be able to hear about the process to Engineering Undeclared and then a Grainger major from a member of the Engineering Undeclared Team. The Women in Engineering (WIE) Admitted Student Luncheon is an opportunity for admitted women students and their family members to engage with the college-level WIE Office and WIE Ambassadors during a special luncheon event as part of their UIUC campus visit. WIE Ambassadors are current students from a variety of majors in The Grainger College of Engineering who will share their experiences and answer questions from a student perspective. A complementary lunch is provided, but advanced registration is required.

Bioengineer Your Impact is an event hosted by the Biomedical Engineering Society on behalf of the Bioengineering Department at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign on Saturday, March 29th from 10 AM to 3 PM. Shadow-An-Engineer offers newly admitted students the unique opportunity to experience life as an engineering student at UIUC. This program takes place in the spring following admissions decisions and pairs admitted students with current engineering students, allowing them to step into their shoes for the day. Participants will go to classes, attend club meetings, sit in on study sessions, and enjoy lunch with their hosts. It’s a firsthand look into the academic and social life that makes Grainger Engineering exceptional.
