Eric Nieto Gonzalez is a fifth-year senior in Electrical Engineering.
He currently serves as the IEEE Social Director, organizing events for Electrical and Computer Engineering students. These gatherings provide students an opportunity to take a break from rigorous coursework while creating a sense of community. Previously, he was involved with SHPE, helping develop social initiatives to support Latino engagement.
Beyond RSOs, Eric is a member of the ARISE program, serving on the ARISE Student Board to support its broader mission. His involvement reflects his dedication to mentorship and ensures that the program can implement better changes based on student experiences.
With a strong interest in semiconductors, Eric has worked on designing and fabricating nanoscopic devices. His research with the Golecki Group, along with cleanroom-based coursework, has provided hands-on experience. He plans to further his expertise by pursuing a master’s degree in semiconductor technology after completing his bachelor’s degree.
