Liam is a fourth-year senior in Agricultural and Biological Engineering with a minor in theSustainability, Environment, & Energy Fellows Program.
Liam has been the Treasurer of Theta Tau, a co-ed professional engineering fraternity, and alsocontributed to the founding of the HeForSWE affinity group here at UIUC. He has also served asthe Treasurer and President of Illini Urban Farmers.
He has worked with Dr. Paul Davidson in their water quality lab for the past three and a halfyears investigating the use of various wastewaters as sustainable nutrient sources forhydroponic crop production. He is working on publishing his paper regarding a lettucegermination screening experiment that will indicate which wastewater sources should beinvestigated further.
Liam plans on continuing his education here at the University of Illinois with a Ph.D. program inAgricultural and Biological Engineering. He wants to expand his research with non-traditionalnutrient sources to other crop varieties and to scale up the sustainable growing process.
