Daniela Marquez is a fifth-year senior in Systems Engineering and Design with a secondary in Digital Prototyping. Throughout her time at UIUC, she has been involved in the Morrill Engineering Program (MEP), a program at UIUC meant to empower African American, Hispanic, and Native American engineering students. She has also been heavily involved in the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE), an organization dedicated to the mission of empowering the Hispanic community to realize its fullest potential and to impact the world through STEM awareness, access, support, and development. She has served as their Secretary and Alumni Relations Lead, and is now serving as their President. She was an Engineering Leaming Assistant (ELA) for three semesters, aiding freshmen in their journey to becoming successful engineering students. 

She has worked for Cummins, Inc. as a Product Engineering intern for two summers, researching renewable energy markets, microgrids, and creating testing devices for industrial power systems as well as for Abbott Laboratories as a Manufacturing Engineering Intern. Upon graduation, she will be working as an Industry X Engineering and Manufacturing Consultant at Accenture in Chicago, Illinois.
