Course Description
Mathematical models for channels and sources; and entropy, information, data compression, channel capacity, Shannon's theorems, and rate-distortion theory are covered in this course.

Undergraduate degree and one of ECE 534 (Random Processes), MATH 464 (Statistics and Probability II), and MATH 564 (Applied Stochastic Processes).
