Course Description
As space missions and aerospace systems are getting increasingly complex and networks, there is a growing need to consider distributed decision and control architectures. This course will give advanced undergraduates and beginning graduate students an introduction to the problems associated with such architectures, as well to some modern tools for tackling them.
Topics will include:
- Complexity issues in distributed control (what makes those problems hard?)
- Some convex relaxation techniques for distributed control design (how can we nonetheless sometimes solve them approximatively)
- Game theoretic and learning tools (how can we handle more complex scenarios with mis-aligned goals and lack of information?)
