Student Team Center

The Grainger Engineering Student Team Center campaign is a $75 million fundraising effort to support students participating in many engineering design competitions from automobiles to aircraft, rockets to robotics. Grainger Engineering students need a dedicated, on-campus space to bring their creative ideas to reality.

Your support will make this space possible. The center will be the best environment for students from diverse educational and demographic backgrounds to collaborate on inspired designs and technical advances that will build a better future for all

Imagine how much more they could achieve with our support.

The new facility will enhance recruitment of students and faculty, increase alumni and corporate engagement, and create a sense of belonging and community for students.

Collaborative meeting spaces, improved workstations and computation capacity improve communication and facilitate imaginative and innovative solutions.

Clean spaces to avoid contamination, a dedicated high-voltage area and excellent ventilation are part of the safe, state-of-the-art work environment.

How you can make a difference

The proposed state-of-the-art, shared space will harness the full potential of all students participating in engineering competitions by:

  • Improving safety and training.
  • Increasing efficiency and productivity
  • Increasing mentorship opportunities.
  • Providing access to cutting-edge machinery and industry-grade equipment.
  • Encouraging collaboration and peer-to-peer communication.

Engineering design competition teams offer The Grainger College of Engineering’s determined and tenacious students the opportunity to answer complex questions in a real-world context, envision a better future and showcase their innovative ideas.
