Yara Aoun

Yara Aoun is a junior in Systems Engineering and Design with a secondary field option in Business Integration and Consulting.

She has been actively involved in the Institute of Industrial and Systems Engineers (IISE) for three years, serving as Underclassmen Representative, Secretary, and currently, President. Beyond IISE, Yara is a choreographer for the Velocity Dance Team and a member of the Lebanese Student Association, as she enjoys exploring creative outlets through dance and staying engaged with her cultural community on campus.

With a strong interest in process improvement and operations, she has earned Lean and Six Sigma Green Belt certifications. She previously interned at a leading beer company, gaining experience in supply chain and operations. Additionally, she works at the Computer-Based Testing Facility under the Grainger College of Engineering, supporting campus-wide testing operations and ensuring a smooth experience for students.
