Geovannie Qadri is a senior in Systems Engineering with a strong commitment to mentorship and academic support.
As a Peer Mentor for the Morrill Engineering Program (MEP) in the ENG 111 class during the fall semester, he collaborates with MEP staff to create a welcoming and supportive environment for first-year MEP students. His dedication to fostering community extends beyond campus—he participated in a Spring Break service trip to Jamaica through the ENG 298 MEP Leadership course, gaining valuable leadership experience while contributing to service initiatives.
Geovannie is also actively involved in the Academic Redshirt in Engineering program (A.R.I.S.E), where he served as a mentor during the Summer ’24 Summer Bridge Program. During Summer Bridge, he helped prepare incoming A.R.I.S.E. students for their first year by leading math review sessions and organizing evening socials to build a strong sense of community. Given the program’s impact on his own academic journey, he hopes to stay involved even after graduation.
Currently, Geovannie works as a Peer-Led Facilitator for C.A.R.E.’s MATH 220 PLT class, where he meets weekly with students to reinforce Calculus I concepts and guide them through their coursework. Additionally, he plays a key role in organizing exam review sessions for all Grainger students enrolled in MATH 220, ensuring they have the resources needed to succeed.
Looking ahead, he is eager to further his leadership within the MEP community and is considering a role as one of the Knights Student Directors while completing his final year of undergraduate studies
