Luis Vásconez is a senior in Civil and Environmental Engineering (CEE).
Luis is currently the Alumni Relations Chair for the Society of Hispanic in Professional Engineers. Heis also part of MEP’s Welcome Committee where he volunteers in outreach events for incoming admitted students from disadvantage background.
Last semester, he was an engineer learning assistant for ENG 100 as well as the MEP mentor for ENG111. He was a mentor in MEP’s summer orientation program, Embark program. He is a mentor in SHPE and has a group of 4 CEE students that he is partnered up to him.
Luis will be doing his master’s at the University of Illinois at Champaign Urbana. He is part of the Global Leaders in the Construction Management program. He is interested in working in the construction market with a focus on the construction of buildings in the healthcare sector. He has had two past experiences working in the vertical expansion of BJC Institute of Health at Washington University and in working some projects within the Indianapolis Airport
