Ximena Castillo

I am a senior majoring in Mechanical Engineering, this is my last semester! Throughout my college career I have been heavily involved in the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE), and I currently serve as the Internal Vice President. Additionally, I am an active member of the Morrill Engineering Program (MEP); I was an MEP mentor Fall 2023, and now I am on the Core Welcome Committee Team. Additionally, I was on the Spring Break 2024 study abroad trip to Jamaica with MEP! In my free time I really enjoy spending time outdoors and hanging out with friends. Current obsessions include volleyball, slacklining, painting, and crocheting! After graduation I will be moving to the Southern California area to work for Boeing. I was accepted into their Engineering Foundational Career Program, a 2 year rotational program with 4, 6-month rotations. I am very excited for this next chapter of my life and receiving the Knights award before graduation is truly an honor and I am very grateful for all of those that have impacted me on this journey and helped me get to where I am today!
