Josh Sekyere

My name is Joshua Sekyere and I am a senior majoring in Systems Engineering with a focus on Digital Prototyping. On campus, I serve as the president for the National Society of Black Engineers and heavily involved in the Morrill Engineering Program (MEP) as a peer mentor and in the Academic Redshirt in Science and Engineering (ARISE) program. In my time at UIUC, I have enjoyed participating in efforts to increase the number of minority students in Grainger and make the campus an easier place to navigate for them. Aside from academics, you can always find me making music, playing video games, or catching up on shows and movies I’ve missed out on. After graduation, I will be joining Caterpillar Inc. as a Rotational Engineer in their Peoria, IL location. I am honored to be selected as a Knight of Saint Patrick and could not have done so without all the love and help received from Grainger and those around me.
