Abby Culloton

Abby Culloton is a Civil and Environmental Engineering student graduating in December 2023.She has a primary concentration in Water Resources Engineering and a secondary in Energy-Water-Environment Sustainability. She has also earned the Certificate in EnvironmentalWriting.

On campus, Abby is the Secretary for the Society of Women Engineers, where she coordinatessection awards and manages the leadership certificate program. She is also a 2022 recipient ofthe SWE Outstanding Collegiate Member Award, which is a national recognition presented to10 SWE members annually. In fall 2022, Abby was the Head Engineering Learning Assistant forENG 100, where she provided support to all ELAs and taught a section of ENG 100. Abby hasalso been involved with Women in Engineering and CEE Student Ambassadors throughout hertime in college.

This past summer, Abby interned with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in Rock Island, IL intheir hydrology and hydraulics division. She plans to return to intern there again this summer.While she is still unsure of her post-graduation plans at this time, Abby is very passionate aboutsustainability and conserving natural resources, and she would love to someday work in a rolein habitat restoration or stream ecology.
