Stefany Boyas

Stefany Boyas is a senior in Civil and Environmental Engineering with a primary concentration in Structural Engineering.
Since freshman, she has been an active member of the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers and held leadership positions, including the roundtable and chapter academic director. She has also served as the Phi Sigma Rho Engineering Sorority Panhellenic Council delegate and has served as a member of Engineers without Borders and the Chi Epsilon Honors Society.
Throughout her academic career, she has worked closely with CARE as a course facilitator for MATH 215, MATH 220 and Physics 211. She has also worked with the Morrill Engineering Program as a peer mentor for the ENG 199 Introduction to Engineering course and its Prospective Students Welcoming Committee. Stefany is passionate about mentorship and is currently a mentor to 13 mentees in SHPE and the American Society of Civil Engineers.
Stefany has held internship positions with Exelon Generation as a structural design intern and Bechtel as a field engineering intern. After graduation, she will be working full time with Burns & McDonnell as an assistant structural engineer and plans on pursuing a master’s degree in Structural Engineering as a part-time student.
