As principal consultant at Construction Technology Laboratories, Inc., Eivind Hognestad handles the execution of research and engineering development projects for bridges, buildings, and special structures. He participates in the preparation of standards and codes of practice and is a consultant of bridges, storage silos, and offshore structures. He has also served as an expert witness on concrete construction for the High Court of Justice in London, England. A member of the National Academy of Engineering and the Royal Norwegian Academy of Science, he has received awards from the American Concrete Institute and the American Society of Civil Engineers.
